Karwar: Former minister Anand Asnotikar, who entered Uttara Kannada at Majali checkpost on Karwar-Goa border for the primary time after joining the JD(S), left his fans embarrassed after he pointing out that he would vow to ensure the victory of BJP in a minimum of 5 out the six constituencies in the district.
Asnotikar, who switched his loyalty from BJP to JD(S) in the presence of HD Deve Gowda in Bengaluru recently, reached Karwar where his fans gave him a rousing reception. Asnotikar stated he would battle on a JD(S) ticket in the assembly election. However, many a times he had a slip of tongue and stated that he would work in opposition to the victory of BJP, regardless that he later corrected it. This repeated pretend pas left his fans red-faced, who apparently attempted to protect him pronouncing that since he was with the BJP for over a decade it might take him some time emotionally and psychologically to get used to the brand new cases.
He stated JD(S) will open its account in Karwar assembly constituency, including that leaders HD Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy have assured him complete support.
