BJD district observers to inquire allegations against Baijayant Panda

BHUBANESWAR: BJD's Cuttack district observer Usha Devi and Kendrapada observer Pramila Mallik will inquire into the allegations made through party's block stage leaders towards local MP Baijayant Panda.
BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik ordered the inquiry following allegations from party's grassroots leaders that the MP is ignoring the local leaders.

Two days after a gaggle of BJD staff from Nischintakoili block met Naveen at his place of abode demanding motion towards the Kendrapada MP, some other team of leaders from Mahakalapada block additionally met the BJD president on Tuesday.


"The MPs has never consulted with any of the party workers before finalizing projects from the MP's local area development fund. He visits the constituency with outsiders," Mahakalapada block chairman Sasmita Baral advised reporters right here.


Demand for motion towards Panda gets louder after he not too long ago alleged bureaucratic highhandedness in BJD affairs that rocked the ruling party. He had said it on January 11 while inaugurating an overhead water tank at Buhalo in Nischintakoili block beneath Kendrapada Lok Sabha section.


Neither Panda nor his place of business reacted on the allegations made through the BJD staff from Mahakalapada block.
