BJP stalwart Murli Manohar Joshi showers praise on Naveen Patnaik

BHUBANESWAR: BJP veteran Murli Manohar Joshi on Sunday showered lavish praise on leader minister Naveen Patnaik and wanted him a fifth-term, a lot to the discomfiture of the saffron birthday party's state unit.
"Naveen Babu is one of the chief ministers in the country who silently does his work selflessly for his state. This is the reason he became the longest serving chief minister of Odisha. May the almighty give him more strength to lead Odisha for years to come," Joshi stated in his deal with at Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad, where former President Pratibha Devisingh Patil honoured Naveen for being the ideal leader minister.

MIT School of Government, a unit of MIT-World Peace University in association with Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad conferred the dignity on Naveen for his concepts of clean governance.

Joshi, who used to be also Naveen's colleague within the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government, stated, "It will take a lot of time if I start describing his good qualities." The former human useful resource development minister also recollected his associations with Biju Patnaik, Naveen's father and former Odisha leader minister.


The BJP veteran's praise for Naveen at a time when his birthday party is making an all-out effort to wrest power from the BJD in 2019 has raised many eyebrows within the political circle. It also got here slightly every week prior to another BJP veteran L K Advani is scheduled to wait the launching rite of the pictorial biography on Biju Patnaik here on January 27.


While the BJD camp is elated over Joshi's praise for Naveen, the BJP stated it's not anything but a courtesy. "While sharing dais even with opponents, we never talk against each other. Joshiji's comment on Naveen has nothing but mere courtesy. The BJP is clear in its stand and it would vote out BJD in the next election," stated BJP nationwide secretary Suresh Pujari.


BJP has introduced a marketing campaign Mission 120+, a transfer to get win in a minimum of 120 of the 147 assembly seats.


BJD spokesperson Pratap Deb stated the chief minister is very revered throughout political spectrum for his simplicity, humility and just right works for Odisha. "There were several senior leaders of other parties who have earlier praised Naveen Babu for his developmental programmes and pro-people works," Deb stated.
