NEW DELHI: Senior Congress chief Ajay Maken on Wednesday alleged that Sushil Gupta, who was once nowadays selected via Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as one its candidate for a Rajya Sabha seat, resigned from the Congress celebration after he was once promised a seat in the Upper House of Parliament supposedly via AAP.

In a tweet, Maken alleged that Gupta approached him to submit his resignation and informed him that he has been promised a seat in Rajya Sabha.

Today, forty days after the incident, Gupta was once named as probably the most candidates via AAP as its RS nominee, Maken stated in his tweet.


A distinguished chartered accountant and former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India N D Gupta, businessman and social activist Sushil Gupta and celebration functionary Sanjay Singh have been nowadays announced as AAP's three Rajya Sabha nominees.

Following the annoucement, Delhi chief of opposition Vijender Gupta stated that nowadays's nomination has proved that AAP is not a celebration for the typical guy but a celebration of the prosperous magnificence.


The former member of AAP, Yogendra Yadav too expressed his surprise on the announcement and stated that he is "speechless", "ashamed" and "numb" at AAP's choice.
