KANPUR: Police, on Tuesday, arrested three persons and recovered eight stolen cell phones from their ownership. The accused were identified as Jitendra Pandey, his nephew Ruchit Dwivedi and Munna Nishad. Police said that the trio used to be arrested after they won a tip off regarding them.
The police said that the 3 used to thieve expensive telephones on Kanpur-Unnao-Lucknow freeway and different areas of town. "Jitendra used to sell helmet in Juhi Khalwa area while his nephew Ruchit, runs a small confectionary shop," said SHO Govindnagar.
Acting on the tip off, the police performed a raid and nabbed the trio.
On interrogation, the trio admitted involvement in mobile snatching on Kanpur-Unnao-Lucknow freeway, but even so Jajmau, Lal Bangla, Shujatganj and Shyamnagar areas of town.
