Belagavi: Goa MP Sripad Naik, who's the Union minister of state for Ayush, visited the place of dwelling of Belagavi MP Suresh Angadi at Sampige Road in Vishweshwaraiah Nagar here on Monday.
The Mahadayi factor figured in the one-hour assembly. Angadi said that Goa is keen to resolve the dispute amicably. "The minister told me that the issue of drinking water should be resolved on humanitarian grounds. Being neighbours, one should come to the help of the other and it's unfortunate that the dispute stretched far long," Angadi said.
He said the Congress is enjoying divisive politics and does not want to resolve the issue. "Only BJP can give justice to the people," he said.
Naik was in the state to inaugurate the new development of Shri Shivayogishwar Rural Ayurved Medical College and Hospital at Inchal, Savadatti taluk. Not a lot was disclosed about his talk over with to the town.
