Island volcano in Papua New Guinea erupts with ash, steam

SYDNEY: An island volcano in Papua New Guinea erupted once more Sunday, sending plumes of steam and ash into the air.
Thousands of folks had been evacuated from islands surrounding Kadovar Island off the South Pacific country's north coast because the volcano there started erupting on Jan. 5. Flights within reach had been canceled because of the danger posed by means of ash plumes and ships had been warned to stay away from the island.

Experts warned closing week that seismic job underneath the volcano intended that a major eruption could be impending.
