NOIDA: Noida Authority on Wednesday has sealed16 unauthorized buildings, which can be of six flooring each and every in village Garhi Chokhandi within the city. Located along the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) e-way, the unauthorized building has been carried out across 28,200 sq. meters (7 acres) of land value greater than Rs 200 crore by way of illegal colonisers. The buildings, which can be beneath building have been declared unauthorized by way of the Authority and after giving due notices have been sealed. These buildings also face demolition, officials advised TOI.
According to Authority officials, the buildings were being constructed on Noida's notified land, which used to be received in 2006. "No one other than Noida Authority can give permission for the construction on this land and no permission has been granted by us to the buildings being built on Khasra numbers 13,43,45,50,51,115 and 118 measuring almost 7 acres of land," said Rajesh Singh, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Noida Authority. "As per our Master Plan 2031, some part of the land measuring 15,200 sqm has been earmarked for commercial use. Another part measuring 13,000 sqm is for residential use," he explained. "The sealing drive was carried out amidst heavy police presence. More than 150 personnel participated in the drive," he added.
Singh additional said that Authority had pasted caution notices to forestall all building within the space as it used to be unauthorised and illegal, but the unauthorized developers have no longer paid any heed. "Hence on Wednesday we have sealed 16 buildings so far," he said. "This drive will carry on till all encroachment is removed from Noida's notified land," he said. "We will also not shy away from carrying out demolition of these illegal buildings," he added.
Following the incident and toughening his stand in opposition to land sharks duping innocent people, Chairperson and CEO of Noida Authority Alok Tandon has additional directed officials to paintings in co-ordination with the GB Nagar police and district administration in opposition to all illegal use of Noida's notified land. The CCEO has also issued strict directions to not "spare unauthorized colonizers who are busy taking unsuspecting people for a ride". He additional cautioned the public to not get taken in by way of fly-by-night property operators.
