Odisha government launches OeHMIS project

BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Friday introduced Odisha e-Hospital Management Information System (OeHMIS) to provide a automated platform for on-line recording of medical parameters of patients and reporting of performance standards of hospitals.
According to the machine, patients may also be registered on-line and can view and obtain their person digital health information at their doorstep thru internet portal or cellular utility.

The venture was once introduced by way of the state government with the technical toughen of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida. This machine will likely be piloted at Capital Hospital at Bhubaneswar and SCB Medical College Hospital at Cuttack. Later it will be prolonged to other health establishments.


As estimated price of 14.16 crore has been allotted below the state budget for implementation of venture. The government has set a goal to complete the venture inside of two years.


"It will improve efficiency and reduce paper work through automation of processes such as diagnostic reports, prescription details and advice given by different specialists," mentioned health minister Pratap Jena.
