Odisha govt launches Measles-Rubella immunisation drive

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched Measles-Rubella vaccine immunization programme across the state. During the two-month lengthy marketing campaign nearly 1.13 crore youngsters in the age of nine months to 15 years will be administered the vaccine in the state.
"Odisha is among the leading states in immunization programmes in the national level. With the cooperation of general public this programme will also be successful," he stated.

During the initial two weeks of the marketing campaign, vaccination will be achieved in all colleges, each govt and private, and in the following two weeks, vaccination will be achieved on the group degree and last week will be devoted for mop up actions in low coverage areas, each in colleges and the group.


Measles and Rubella are two viral illnesses, which might be among the foremost reasons of morbidity and mortality in youngsters.
