BHUBANESWAR: Passengers on Wednesday had to wait for more than one and a half hours close to Bairi between Cuttack and Jajpur Road stations because of engine problem in Bhubaneswar-Delhi Rajdhani Express.

Some passengers said smoke was popping out of the engine, but the East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources said the driving force stopped the teach after noticing technical problem within the engine.

The Delhi-bound teach left Bhubaneswar at four.30 pm and stopped at Bairi at five.45 pm. It began its journey at around 7.20 pm after ECoR fitted a new engine introduced from Cuttack.
