City honours six Good Samaritans

Coimbatore: Four environmental activists and two social employees, who supply food to the town’s needy, have been honoured at ‘Let’s Thank’, an event organised by means of the Let’s Thank Foundation on Saturday.

B Yoganathan, a bus conductor, has planted greater than three lakh saplings throughout Tamil Nadu. P Janakan, an engineer who give up his job to practise natural farming, PK Selvaraj, who has been operating to rejuvenate River Koushika and Arun Krishnamurthy, the founding father of the Environmentalist Foundation of India have been the environmental activists honoured. Along with them, Raja Sethu Murali, founding father of Pasiyara Soru and Ilayaraja, founding father of Un Unavu Ippadikku Pasi have been honoured for charitable activities.


Students of 40 faculties within the town, who took section in tree plating drives as part of ‘My Tree 2017’ project of the basis, have been additionally honoured at the event together with Carnatic musician SR Krishnamurthy.
