On the other hand, the AIADMK government took concerted efforts to battle and make sure the rights of Tamil Nadu over Cauvery.
“When the call for for publication of the general award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal within the Union government gazette was no longer heeded, Amma (J Jayalalithaa) took it up legally and got it printed,’’ he stated. The Centre did not comply with the route to constitute the Cauvery Management Board. “Amma’s government took it up legally again and has now found an answer through the apex court order,’’ he stated.
