Ex-IIT employee’s son jumps off building

KANPUR: The son of a former employee of Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur allegedly dedicated suicide through jumping off the sixth flooring of a construction in Kanpur, on Wednesday.
As in line with police stories, the deceased used to be recognized as Rachit Khanna (28) and he used to be the son of past due Rajni Khanna , who used to be an employee at IIT-Okay. Police stated Rachit used to be rushed to the IIT-Okay medical institution but used to be declared introduced lifeless.

Police stated it appeared that Rachit had dedicated suicide because of a financial crisis.

The 28-year-old used to be suffered from arthritis and walked with the assistance of a stick.

The frame used to be later despatched for postmortem. Rachit used to be a resident of Nankari locality, located adjacent to the IIT-Kanpur campus and is survived through his spouse and an eight-year-old kid.


Police added that the deceased had labored with IITK's division of pc science but had been hired since 2016, which turned into the reason for his dying.


"His family said Rachit had been disturbed for quite sometime as he was unemployed. His condition aggravated after he lost his parents. Prima facie, it appears that the pressure to provide for his family and his health made him take such a drastic step," stated circle officer of Kalyanpur, Naveen Singh.


Director of IIT-Okay Prof Manindra Agarwal stated, "Rachit was not part of IIT. He had earlier worked with the computer science department on a project."
