GREATER NOIDA: Vehicles handed two toll plazas without paying tax for over an hour in Jewar and Bajna as contributors of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) protested after one among their leaders was once charged.
Travellers handed the toll plazas without paying anything from 11.30am to 1pm as BKU contributors compelled the employees to depart the kiosks. The protesters left where after a police team headed by way of the SDM of Jewar, Rajpal Singh, pacified them.
“Om Prakash Chaudhary, the overall secretary of the Meerut mandal of BKU, had referred to as up officials at the Jewar toll plaza and knowledgeable them Jaiveer Nagar was once a BKU member and he must not be stopped. He was once allowed to cross the toll plaza in Jewar however was once stopped in Bajna,” said Sanjay Kasana, a BKU leader.
Farmers whose land have been got for the toll plazas have been not easy since 2012 that they must not be charged. BKU contributors were exiting the toll plazas without spending a dime as part of a mutual figuring out until a conclusion is reached.
