COIMBATORE: A 50-year-old man on Saturday attempted to dedicate suicide by way of slashing his neck with a pocket-knife within the district collectorate premises, reportedly dissatisfied over his sister cheating him of an ancestral belongings.
Jeevan Michael Joseph, a resident of Pollachi within the district, was once status near the district collector administrative center, when he suddenly got rid of the knife from his pocket and attempted to slash his neck, police said.
A couple of members of the public straight away overpowered and handed him over to police, they said. On being puzzled, he informed police that his sister had cheated him by way of promoting his percentage of ancestral belongings and was once threatening him using rowdies, police said. Upset over the development, he determined to finish his existence.
