NEW DELHI: Benchmark fairness indices - Sensex and Nifty once again completed with moderate losses on Tuesday whilst they'd opened within the green.
30-share BSE index closed on 33,703.59, down 71.07 points and the wider 50-share NSE Nifty misplaced 18 points to complete trading on 10,360.40. The bourses had were given off to a positive start within the morning as Sensex rose 186 points to hit the intra-day top of 33,961. However, primary sectoral sub-indices like financial institution, financial service, auto and FMCG dragged the investor sentiments down. State-run financial institution shares then again, snapped their slide to a point.
Coal India, ONGC, Bharti Airtel and SBI have been the main gainers while Mahindra & Mahindra and a number of personal financial institution shares have been a number of the losers.
