GURUGRAM: MCG on Tuesday sealed four commercial homes in Udyog Vihar and 11 retail outlets in Omaxe mall for non-payment of belongings taxes. Additionally, a drive was also conducted on Khatola Road the place a ceremonial dinner hall was sealed.
MCG officials said these kind of belongings owners had been issued notices and given enough period of time to transparent dues.
“Continuing our efforts to get well the pending tax amounts from belongings owners throughout classes corresponding to residential, commercial and residential, we performed those sealing drives. The owners can either transparent their taxes or else their homes will pass to public sale,” said an MCG official.
MCG has been reasonably aggressive at the sealing drives and more than 100 homes have been either sealed or issued notices for non-payment of belongings taxes in all its zones.
Moreover, there has been a different belongings tax assortment drive for all of the private ceremonial dinner halls around the municipal limits of Gurgaon.
The civic frame had also performed a fire audit that revealed that 62 private ceremonial dinner halls in the town had been working without a fire clearance.
According to MCG officials, in all there are 76 such ceremonial dinner halls in all of the four zones, which have pending belongings taxes on them. Of this 76, some 43 ceremonial dinner halls have round Rs 9.4 crore dues leaving the remainder with round Rs 17 lakh tax exceptional.
“Some of these homes have not paid taxes for years altogether. Notices have been issued to all to transparent their dues within a month’s time failing which they'll be sealed and ultimately auctioned,” said another MCG official.
Following the sealing and issuance of notices, MCG has also scheduled its next public sale on March 15, the place 89 homes will likely be auctioned around the town for non-payment of belongings taxes. A similar public sale was conducted previous in December closing 12 months.
On February 11, a fire incident was reported from a cafe’s kitchen in Omaxe mall.
