Rangoli buyers file police complaint over delivery delay

GURUGRAM: Buyers of apartments in the Avalon Rangoli mission in Dhundahera have alleged the builder, having assured them on February 10 that handover will occur soon, missed the cut-off date of February 20. They have written a grievance to police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar and marked it to the industrial offences wing (EOW).

Having paid up 95% of the associated fee, the 700 homebuyers are yet to receive possession. While the builder has been blaming the federal government for delaying issuance of career certificates (OCs), government like DTCP said the problem remains to be being mentioned. According to consumers, the city planner was no longer issuing OCs as work was incomplete, adding that they had booked apartments from 2011 on, and have paid up nearly 95% of the due.

“Avalon was intended to ship possession inside of 42 months from date of purchase — 2011 in my case,” said Pradeep Sharma, who lives in Palam Vihar. “The cut-off date expired on February 2016. We’ve been meeting them frequently ever since.”

Buyers final met the builder’s representatives on February 10, once they had been assured possession can be given in the next few days. But, rising weary of the unending wait, citizens in spite of everything filed a grievance with the CP. “We also forwarded it to the EOW, which will act only on after the commissioner signs on the grievance,” said any other resident.

Assistant sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar, who citizens said was their liaison officer, may no longer in an instant comment on the topic. A spokesperson of the Avalon Group said the recordsdata had been about to be cleared and must achieve them in a couple of days. “The recordsdata are with the federal government in Chandigarh. Everything is complete on our end,” he said.
