Tirupur: As many as 10 folks, together with a former AIADMK councillor, have been booked on Friday for staging a protest against a quarrel in a Tasmac bar within the town.
C Elango and his pal N Sivakumar of Cotton Mill Road had became up on the Tasmac bar on Perumanallur Road on Friday to devour liquor. There, they had a quarrel with the bar contractor, A Veeraprabhu and bar worker Lallu Prasad. Both the edges exchanged blows and Elango and Sivakumar have been seriously injured, police sources stated.
Alleging that Veeraprabhu was unnecessarily inflicting inconvenience to the general public, former councillor of ward 28 C Rangasamy, in conjunction with 9 other folks staged a road roko on Perumanallur Road in make stronger of Elango and his pal. Tirupur town north police booked them.
