AHMEDABAD: Crime branch sleuths bust a con call center racket run at MS Corner located at Shah-e-Alam Tolnaka on Thursday noon. Three accused Amjadkhan Pathan 26 of Rasulabad, Arbaz Khan 26 of Rakhial and Mohammed Ekan Shaikh 23 of Astodia have been arrested from the spot whilst two others Dilnawaz Syed and Suzan alias Guru are on the run. The call center was once run since a month.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, crime branch Rajdeepsinh Jhala mentioned they have got seized computer systems and other apparatus want for running a call center from store no 209,210 and 211. “We have shaped groups to nab the absconding accused” added Ad.DCP Jhala.
Inspector Rajesh Suvera who led the group mentioned the accused used to cheat American citizens, calling them through magic jack software exhibiting American numbers on the sufferer’s cell phones.
“They used to provide them pay day loans and on the pretext of verification rate and loan agreement charges asked them to buy I music cards. The accused then used to redeem I music cards through their accomplices and convert it Indian foreign money” added Inspector Suvera.
