Hubballi: The Panch Trust has demanded that the sale of liquor be limited between 6pm and 9pm. President of the Trust, M Satyanarayana mentioned that the current timing for sale from 8am to 10pm is encouraging liquor consumption among youths, affecting their well being. “Family members of drunkards are suffering from unnecessary poverty because of this habit of youths,” he mentioned.
Anna Dorai, vice-president of the Trust, mentioned that financial crisis of households of alcoholic other folks is also hitting the country’s economy. “The govt is best taking a look at the revenue from liquor sale, but isn't considering the happiness index which is falling down because of high alcohol consumption,” he mentioned.
Ravi Kammar, joint secretary of the Trust, mentioned that a state-wide awareness programme to sensitize other folks can be launched if the federal government fails to cut back timing of the sale of liquor by means of April 2.
