AHMEDABAD: The child sex ratio (CSR) 2016 has published that of the 42 talukas in Amreli, Junagadh, Bhavnagar, Botad and Gir-Somnath districts, 33 lag in the back of the national reasonable of 848 women in keeping with 1,000 boys.
Veraval taluka in Gir-Somnath district has the lowest CSR of 562 women in keeping with 1,000 boys. This was once adopted via Babra with CSR of 600. According to the data released via the state govt, 20 talukas in those five districts have CSR of lower than 800 women in keeping with 1,000 boys.
The taluka with the highest CSR in the state was once Dholera in Ahmedabad district the place there were 1,120 women for 1,000 boys whilst Detroj-Rampura also in Ahmedabad had the CSR of 1,075 women for 1,000 boys.
Apart from Dholera and Detroj, five different talukas — Mandal (1,009 women in keeping with 1,000 boys), Viramgam (1,011), Choryasi in Surat (1,065), Jotana in Mehsana (1,039) and Bhabhar in Banaskantha (1,043) — had more women than boys.
In all, 15 talukas in Rajkot, Morbi, Kutch, Jamnagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Porbandar districts had the CSR of lower than 848. According to govt officials, of the 265 talukas in the state, 99 have the CSR lower than the national reasonable of 848. The officials mentioned that of those 99 talukas, 48 are in Saurashtra and Kutch area.
According to govt knowledge, of the 52 talukas in Gandhinagar area masking Arvalli, Gandhinagar, Patan, Sabarkantha, Patan, Mehsana and Banaskantha, 14 talukas had the CSR lower than 848.
