Hubballi: The South Western Railways organized a host of actions on International Women’s Day. In a primary of its sort initiative in the department, Dharwad railway station was chosen to be manned completely by means of women personnel. All the jobs at the station like station manager, reserving/reservation/parcel clerks and supervisors, price tag checking personnel, pointsman/ shunting personnel and RPF safety personnel had been performed by means of women workers of the Hubballi department. Train no. 56902 Dharwad-Hubballi daily passenger was manned by means of women crew. A complete of 16 railway personnel in quite a lot of capacities manned the station. This initiative also received overwhelming reaction from the public.
