BENGALURU: Passengers in six extra railway stations can get entry to loose Wi-Fi now - Bidadi, Channapatna, Ramanagara, Maddur, Mandya and Srirangapatna. It's already available at Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, Kengeri, Krishnarajapuram, Yeshwantpur, Bangarpet, Dharwad, Mangaluru Central, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Mysuru, Hosapete and Hassan stations.
RailTel, an endeavor of the railway ministry, is executing the venture. It aims to provide Wi-Fi get entry to to rail users as part of the Digital India initiative. Passengers can get internet get entry to with speeds up to 1mbps for upload and 3 Mbps for download for the primary 30 minutes. The velocity reduces to 64 kbps after that.
