India supports peace and stability in Korean Peninsula: Venkaiah Naidu

NEW DELHI: Peace is prerequisite to progress and India needs peaceful co-existence in her neighbourhood, vice-president M Venkaiah Naidu advised a visiting Korean Parliamentary delegation led via the Speaker of South Korean National Assembly Chung Sye Kyun.

Naidu mentioned India was a peace-loving nation and wanted to have cordial family members with all its neighbours. The Vice-President also liked the trouble of President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea to resolve the North Korean nuclear factor thru dialogue and engagement with North Korea. He mentioned that India helps peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula thru dialogue and diplomacy and expressed the hope that the momentum generated via the inter-Korean talks would contribute to this finish.


Terming India and Korea as “'natural companions”, he pointed out that each have civilisational linkages and deep people-to-people bonds.


Naidu also pointed out that terrorism is an international threat to mankind and expressed the hope that the United Nations (UN) comes out with a broader resolution towards terrorism.
