Not concerned over Shami's private matters: Shukla

NEW DELHI: IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla made it clear on Wednesday that the decision on Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami's fate will be taken after the BCCI's anti-corruption unit completes its investigation in opposition to the tempo bowler.

Neeraj Kumar, BCCI's ACU head, has been requested to analyze the allegations levelled by Shami's spouse Hasin Jahan who had claimed that the cricketer had won unaccounted money from a Pakistani girl.

Shami were booked below quite a lot of non-bailable, together with attempt to murder, and bailable sections after his spouse lodged a criticism of home violence and infidelity in opposition to him.

"Our anti corruption unit, headed by Neeraj Kumar, will investigate and give us a report. We are awaiting it. We are expecting the report shortly," stated Shukla, a former BCCI vp.


The girl in question, Alishba, has showed that she met Shami in Dubai however denied that she passed any money to Indian speedy bowler. Alishba's name surfaced in the controversy after Shami's spouse Hasin alleged that he could have a relationship with the Pakistani girl.


"We are not concerned over his private matters. As soon as he (Kumar) gives the report we will decide. The investigation is still on. It's Neeraj Kumar's job to investigate it," he added.


Hasin then hinted that her husband could have cheated India following his alleged relationship with girlfriends from Pakistan and Dubai, which had induced the Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai to invite BCCI's anti-corruption frame to put up a document in per week's time.
