Parrikar to hold cabinet meet this week, says state BJP chief

Panaji: Rubbishing the Congress call for for the appointment of a caretaker leader minister or for an alternate arrangement in view of the health situation of the incumbent leader minister Manohar Parrikar, BJP state president Vinay Tendulkar on Sunday said Parrikar’s situation was once making improvements to.
The leader minister has indicated that he's going to hang a cupboard assembly this week, Tendulkar said.

He instructed reporters that Parrikar has been discharging all his routine tasks as leader minister from his residence in Taleigao, where he's at this time getting better.

Tendulkar said there's no foundation to the Congress call for of appointing a caretaker leader minister or making some other such selection preparations.

“Congress needn't advise us. No such procedure is on. We have a first-rate minister already. He speaks to his cabinet colleagues on a day-to-day foundation. He has said he would hang a cupboard assembly. He will steer clear of mingling with people for another 10 to 15 days best as according to physician’s advise,” said Tendulkar.

The leader minister may no longer hang his regular cabinet assembly last week. Sources, alternatively, said Parrikar may be moved out of Goa for further treatment later this week.

Parrikar is being handled for pancreatitis since February 15.


“Two days ago, after the manager minister was once discharged from Goa Medical College and Hospital, our basic secretary and I met him. His health is making improvements to,” said Tendulkar.


“We spent round 25 mins with him. We mentioned birthday party paintings with him. Party basis day celebrations in April had been also mentioned. He is taking a look at routine files. He is not coming to paintings because doctors have asked him not to mingle with too many of us as a precaution for his health. Why must we speculate so much about it?” he said when asked if Parrikar’s ailment was once anything else more serious than the authentic remark that he is being handled for pancreatitis.


Responding to a question from reporters as to why prayers just like the ‘mahamrutyunjay jaap’, which Hindu faithfuls believe helps avert demise, is being held for Parrikar through his supporters in Goa, Tendulkar said, “People are praying, it's their sentiment, we cannot prevent them. We aren't accomplishing such prayers.”
