MYSURU/BENGALURU/NEW DELHI: Chief minister Siddaramaiah ruled out a tie-up with the JD(S) in the March 23 Rajya Sabha polls and angered former PM H D Deve Gowda in the procedure. Gowda has convened a gathering in Bengaluru on Wednesday to check his party’s beef up to the ruling Congress in the BBMP council.
Siddaramaiah and KPCC president G Parameshwara will meet Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi on Tuesday. The Congress with its energy in the legislative assembly can easily win two seats, however will need beef up from elsewhere to get the third candidate elected to the higher space of Parliament.
The JD(S) has set its attractions in this third seat and had requested the Congress to again it in lieu of the beef up it's been extending to the ruling party in BBMP since 2015. Speaking to reporters in Mysuru on Monday Siddaramaiah said, “We don’t need (the beef up of) anybody in Karnataka. All we need is people’s beef up.”
He ruled out a tie-up with JD(S) for the Rajya Sabha polls, however indicated that the party had no longer decided yet whether to box a third candidate. Siddaramaiah said he was once keen on secular forces becoming a member of palms to take at the BJP at the Centre, however maintained his party does no longer need the beef up of the Left or JD(S) to take at the saffron party in Karnataka or in the tournament of a hung assembly.

Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s observation, Gowda, who's in New Delhi, said: “We have convened a gathering of our party’s parliamentary board on Wednesday the place we will be able to take a call on whether to continue the alliance with the Congress in the BBMP council.”
Meanwhile, JD(S) assets said the party has anyway established contact with Congress higher-u.s.in New Delhi for an alliance. Rahul is scheduled to fly in another country on March 7 and go back on March 11. This is the explanation why the assembly to talk about candidates for the Rajya Sabha polls was once advanced to Tuesday. The remaining date for filing of nomination papers is March 12.
