BHUBANESWAR: Smart India Hackathon began at CV Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE) right here from Friday. It is a 36-hour nonstop program where students participate to reach the purpose of ‘Make in India’ venture of the Central govt.
Hackathon is a competition during which the students come up with innovative virtual solutions to other decided on issues recognized by quite a lot of departments of the Central govt. It is a joint initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to deal with grassroots stage issues of the country through the innovations of young brains.
This year, 340 issues of quite a lot of departments of the Centre were recognized for which 10,300 students are decided on throughout India to participate within the hackathon in 23 nodal centers. CVRCE of Odisha is without doubt one of the nodal centers of the country to habits the programme.
A complete of 352 students and 80 mentors participated within the programme to unravel given nine issues associated with ministry of skill development. R Subramaniyam, secretary of MHRD, interacted with the participants within the CVRCE.

CVRCE chairman Sanjeev Rout said his faculty was the winner of closing year’s hackathon for venue control. “We have made all preparations for the participants,” he added.
“Intention in the back of this programme was to spot new technology innovation for solving the challenges faced by the country.
