GUWAHATI: The Assam executive has banned moves by means of workers within the Oil and Gas sector within the state under the Essential Services Maintenance (Assam) Act, 1980 for 6 months.
A notification to this effect was issued on March 13 prohibiting moves in Assam by means of officers, workmen, contract labour, tanker, driver and khalasi involved within the service within the Oil and Gas sector.
The prohibition might be in effect for a length of six months from the date of factor of the notification.
