Tata Sons' Chief Ethics Officer Mukund Rajan resigns

NEW DELHI: Tata Sons on Thursday said its Chief Ethics Officer Mukund Rajan will leave the gang to evaluate entrepreneurial pursuits within the coming months.

"Dr Rajan and Tata Sons have mutually agreed that Dr Rajan will leave the services of Tata Sons on March 31, 2018," the company said in a commentary.

On the explanations for his departure, the company said Rajan (49) has "conveyed personal reasons for his decision to leave Tata Sons and has indicated he will be evaluating certain entrepreneurial pursuits in the coming months".

Rajan, who used to be former managing director of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, used to be appointed as the gang spokesperson and logo custodian in February 2013.

His used to be the primary primary appointment after Cyrus Mistry took over because the chairman of the gang after Ratan Tata retired on December 28, 2012.

He used to be additionally a part of the Group Executive Council (GEC) arrange by way of Mistry. The GEC, headed by way of Mistry, used to be arrange in April 2013 with the objective offering strategic and operational toughen to him.
