CHENNAI: In the wake of deaths of 9 trekkers at Kurangani in Theni district of Tamil Nadu, the DMK and PMK on Monday demanded that the state govt bring out guidelines for trekking. The parties mentioned the government and forest division must make certain no trekking is going down within the forests with out right kind steerage and permission.

In a statement PMK founder S Ramadoss, "The corporate which organised the trekking to Kurangani forests is said to have now not gained any permission from the forest division.
