KOLKATA: India pacer Mohammed Shami’s spouse has accused him of infidelity and physically assaulting her over a number of months, prompting her to go to the Lalbazar police headquarters on Wednesday night time.

Hasin Jahan met senior cops in her attorney’s presence during her three-and-a-half-hour talk over with, which came a day after she posted a series of screenshots of textual content messages on Facebook, claiming that they were conversations between Shami and other girls. Jahan, 26, a former model and KKR cheerleader, met Shami in 2011. They got married a year later and feature a four-year-old daughter.

“She came to Lalbazar and met us. She has told us intimately about the hassle between her and her husband but didn't lodge any legit criticism,” joint commissioner (crime) Praveen Tripathi said.
Jahan started posting a series of images of Shami with other girls since Monday morning and alleged that they were his girlfriends. She later posted seven screenshots of a textual content conversation between a woman and allegedly Shami that dated back to October 2016 and named the album as “Shami’s enjoyment”.
Shami responded to the trends via posting a Tweet at 11.13am on Tuesday. Speaking to TOI outside her apartment at Katjunagar in Jadavpur, Jahan said she had lately found a smartphone hidden in Shami’s car. She controlled to open the trend lock after a number of attempts and found some “objectionable” chats, images and movies, she said. “This has been occurring for a number of months. I found this out on his long ago from South Africa final month. He stayed at a lodge in Dubai while the rest of his teammates returned to India. A talk printed that he was scheduled to meet a lady from Pakistan on the airport. He checked into a lodge on February 18 with the girl. He came back to India the next day to come,” Jahan said.
She waved a bundle of printouts of chats and pictures that she claimed to have recovered from Shami’s telephone and mentioned that she meant to take prison action towards him. She even alleged that Shami tortured her physically and mentally and had threatened to depart her and marry somebody else.
“But I can not let him get away easily. I can not sign on the divorce papers and can expose him and drag him to the court for what he has completed to me,” Jahan said.
Jahan alleged that Shami had family members with many women in towns like Nagpur, Indore, Bangalore and Pune. “He often calls those girls to his lodge rooms every time he's visiting those towns. He also has family members with girls in Pakistan and Dubai. I faced him but he threatened me and dared me to do whatever I sought after,” Jahan alleged.
