Police, in keeping with data given via locals, known the accused as Dhoha Mori, Rahul Mori and Sagar Mori. They were booked below segment 428, 429 and 34 and segment 11 (1) (A) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The sections entail imprisonment up to five years if convicted.
A L Barasia, investigation officer, Bhesan said, “They had mercilessly overwhelmed the canine, dragged it via neck and dumped its body into the drain of Galoria river. We will nab them very quickly.”
Meet Ashar, PETA India emergency reaction coordinator, said, “PETA India is asking for the perpetrators to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, together with jail time, and for stricter consequences for acts of cruelty towards animals, for everyone's sake.”
