Bhubaneswar: BJD protests petrol, diesel price hike

BHUBANESWAR: Student and formative years wings of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday staged demonstration at Master Canteen square here protesting the hike in the cost of petrol and diesel in spite of relief in crude oil worth in the international marketplace.

BJD leader Sanjay Das Burma, who took the lead of the protest march from Rajmahal square to Master Canteen square, stated the union executive has greater the cost of petrol for 9 times since 2014. Now the marketplace worth of petrol and diesel in Bhubaneswar is Rs 72.57 and Rs 69.28 in line with litre respectively, he added.


He stated that frequent build up in gas worth is having hostile impact on the commonplace people. “It would build up the prices of essential commodities. Is it Achhe Din of the BJP executive,” he puzzled.
