Karnataka win will open doors for BJP in south: Amit Shah

MYSURU: Winding up his two-day excursion of Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Mandya districts, birthday party’s national president Amit Shah on Saturday said a victory in Karnataka could be a stepping stone for the saffron birthday party’s expansionist policy down south.
“Winning the elections and forming a powerful government here will indisputably open the door for the BJP to the southern part of the country,” he told newshounds.

Shah said the Karnataka elections, be it a win or loss, will also have a bearing at the 2019 Parliamentary elections. He said the BJP is the only alternative for Siddaramaiah-government in Karnataka, which is “not anything more than an ATM of corruption for the Congress”.

“After the 2014 elections, we’ve got rid of the Congress from 11 states and I do not see any festival from the Siddaramaiah-government as other folks have made up their thoughts to remove the corrupt governance within the state,” he said.

Justifying the birthday party’s higher center of attention on Mysuru, he said: “This is the only region within the state where the BJP doesn’t have a unmarried MLA.”

Shah said the Parliamentary board of the birthday party will finalise the candidates in a while. He said tickets will likely be given to those who “confine to the norms of public life.”

On the potentialities of Janardhana Reddy, who’s jailed for illegal mining, Shah said: “The BJP has not anything to do with Reddy.”

He said the birthday party received’t retract its assurance given to CM candidate B S Yeddyurappa.“The BJP has introduced that Yeddyurappa will be the CM and will proceed to remain so for five years when the birthday party comes to power,” he added.
