GURUGRAM: Power transmission corporate Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN) has operationalised the important thing 66kV Jamalpur substation, whose paintings used to be left midway in 2017 after the corporate to which it used to be outsourced used to be blacklisted internationally. The general cost of the project used to be Rs 16 crore, HVPN officials stated.
Officials stated HVPN determined to steadily entire the paintings on their own. “Had we determined to outsource the process again, we must undergo the entire process from scratch, which would have taken us another year and a half,” stated Anil Yadav, superintendent engineer, HVPN.
“On the opposite hand, we had over nine,000 customers who had been going through problems of insufficient energy provide,” Yadav added.
“The corporate, Isolux Ingenieria, which used to be overseeing the paintings, used to be blacklisted internationally for positive reasons. So instead of re-awarding another contract, our males took it upon themselves to finish it. We first recognized a close-by 200kV line. But because of its prime voltage, it needed to be stepped down to 66kV, and then we started the construction,” he stated.
Officials stated the new substation will cater to villages in Gurugram, particularly Jamalpur, Ghosgarh, Khumbawas, Baslambi, Tatarpur, Kharkhari, Chitrasen and Prem Nagar.
This is the second one time that HVPN had to construct a substation on its own after the same contractor left paintings halfway.
Recently, the transmission corporate operationalised a gasoline insulated substation in Sector 57. This substation used to be constructed to supply energy to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) lines that extended into the city and the Rapid Metro.
