31 booked for brandishing swords

GREATER NOIDA: Altogether 31 other folks have been booked for brandishing swords and other sharp-edged guns all over a rally in Greater Noida two days ago.

Shailendra Pratap Singh, SHO of Kasna police station, mentioned some participants of the Rajputana Samaj had on Sunday organised a rally with out taking permission of the district management. According to sub-inspector Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, who lodged the criticism, participants of the outfit had organised a programme to welcome a community chief, Sher Singh Rana, in Ghodi Bachera village where they allegedly displayed swords and other guns and violated traffic norms.


“They also played loud music with a DJ and burst firecrackers that added to noise pollution. Vehicles were stranded on the street close to Pari Chowk for a while on account of them,” he mentioned.


Balyan mentioned he came to understand in regards to the rally thru media reviews day after today, following which he filed the criticism.


Singh mentioned a case had been registered below sections 143 (illegal meeting), 153 (promoting enmity between two teams) and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the IPC. Police have introduced a search to arrest the ones involved in the rally.
