MUMBAI: Eight Maharashtra State Electricity Board ( MSEB) linemen and a contractor sustained burn accidents when the feeder of a sub station in Nalasopara (east) exploded all through restore works.
The condition of 3 linemen is alleged to be critical. The explosion took place at around 1pm in the MSEB sub station located at Achole Road in Nalasopara (east).
Around 10 to 12 staff had been repairing the cable in the sub station when the feeder tripped. The feeder was once charged and paintings on repairing the cable began.
Linemen said that there was once an explosion in the feeder and soon the cables had been on fire.
The injured include Milind Patil, Prakash Shinde, Harkesh Kadpe, Parmeshwar Kavle, Baliram Jagtap, Mayur Dawane, Ashwar Shaikh, Jatinder Rathod and contractor Sajjan.
The condition of Mayur, Ashwar and Baliram is alleged to be critical. The injured are being handled on the Alliance health center in Nalasopara and Golden Park health center in Vasai.
