The rescue ship reached the spot the place nine staff individuals of St. Mary’s had been stranded for 2 days and were operating out of food and water. The rescue staff and technical staff boarded the boat and found that the engine crank shaft bearing used to be damaged. The technical personnel discovered that the boat could now not be repaired mid-sea because of non-availability of spares.

When the seek for some other fishing boat in the house for help used to be futile, the rescue staff decided to deliver it to shore. The boat used to be towed to Karwar port despite opposed climate stipulations and top swell because of sturdy winds.

The boat used to be anchored off Karwar port anchorage house. The port officer used to be asked to permit the boat to come inside for maintenance and other logistical beef up and this used to be finished the similar night.
