Ahmedabad-Mumbai Duronto to go up to Rajkot

AHMEDABAD: Indian Railways has made up our minds to extend the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Duronto teach, to Rajkot. This teach is predicted to make its maiden run from Rajkot on May 27.

The choice to extend the teach to Rajkot used to be taken after Mansukh Mandaviya, Union minister for street delivery, highways and delivery wrote to the railways asking to extend the teach’s route to Rajkot.

Mandaviya’s letter confirmed the decision and officials are figuring out the timing and other modalities. Officials said the teach will likely have price ticket quotas for Rajkot and Ahmedabad. Officials said the teach will depart Ahmedabad at the same time as it these days does, middle of the night. A senior officer said it used to be made up our minds that the teach achieving Ahmedabad on morning of the 27th will head to Rajkot, where it will depart in the other way within the evening. Officials said that this the primary Duronto teach to make a halt.

Duronto trains were earlier now not supposed to make any halts. Since January 2016, it used to be imaginable to ebook tickets for and from stations where the teach would make technical stops.

Officials said the extension will mean fewer seats for Amdavadis because the teach is sort of 100% full even on working days. Officials said this teach is popular with businessman and managers travelling to Mumbai and vice versa.Officials said the teach has 17 coaches together with six AC 3-tier financial system coaches, 5 AC 3-tier coaches, 3 AC 2-tier coaches, one AC first class and two EOG vehicles. tnn
