CHENNAI: Of the 5.66 lakh undergraduate engineering (B.E/B.Tech) scholars learning in schools affiliated to Anna University around the state, nearly 46% (2.57 lakh) have flunked their even semester checks.
The four-year engineering route within the state is split into four even and four atypical semesters of six months duration each and every.
At least 274 of the 508 affiliated (non-autonomous) schools have recorded a cross percentage of not up to 50% and 7 schools have cross percentage in single digits, in keeping with information circulated to schools through the college on Monday.
In one college situated within the town suburbs, just one pupil controlled to cross the semester examination.
This is the fourth 12 months in a row that affiliated schools of the Anna University have recorded poor leads to their even semester checks.
