Apparel institutes invited to take part in Atal New India Challenge

Tirupur: AIC-NIFT TEA Incubation Centre for Textiles and Apparels is inviting textile colleges to post concepts and concepts, which fits spaces mentioned in Atal New India Challenge.
The winners may get an incubation grant as much as Rs 1 crore to broaden their products and commercialise them. The packages will have to be submitted sooner than Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and the remaining date to apply is June 10.

NITI Aayog, the Central govt organisation, had not too long ago introduced that the folks from MSMEs, get started ups, research and building sectors and academicians may post concepts and concepts in 17 spaces including waste management recycling and reuse. Five Union ministries including agriculture, railways, road shipping, ingesting water and sanitation, and housing and concrete affairs are on board for the contest.

“Anyone, who has market-ready products, which could have positive impact on environment, financial system and society may provide their concepts. The targets of the contest are to generate employment and give a contribution to financial enlargement,” stated chief executive officer of AIC-NIFTTEA centre R Periyasamy.


“The innovative concepts in production management, smart factory, waste management and packaging management may go well with the invoice in the textile and apparel industry. Being the incubation centre for textiles and apparels, now we have planned to ask potential incubatees from the textile and style institutions to present their innovative concepts for the contest,” he stated.


The decided on incubatees will probably be despatched to respective incubation centres. AIC-NIFTTEA centre will train the incubatees, who've proved their mettle, in apparel sector.


“Despite the improvement achieved so far in Tirupur knitwear cluster, the concept that of product building did not evolve properly on par with the world medical requirements. Contests like this is able to help to improve in the required spaces with the help of innovative concepts generated inside and out of doors of the industry. The incubatees decided on will get the infrastructure, technical improve from professionals and grant to broaden their products,” he added.
