NEW DELHI: UK-based political consulting company Cambridge Analytica, which used to be recently embroiled in a massive data-harvesting scandal that compromised the personal data of up to 87 million Facebook customers, filed for voluntary Chapter 7 chapter within the Southern District of New York overdue on Thursday.
Cambridge Analytica LLC indexed assets within the range of $100,001 to $500,000 and liabilities within the range of $1 million to $10 million.
Earlier this month, the corporate had announced it's going to shut down operations. The London company had blamed "unfairly negative media coverage'' for its closure decision and said it has been "vilified'' for movements which it claimed are both prison and extensively authorized as part of web advertising.
