‘Complete manual scavenging survey within 10 days or face action’

Coimbatore: Stating that the district is being run like a separate state that refuses to implement either the state govt orders or the Central govt orders, member of the nationwide fee for safai karamcharis Jagadish Hiremani on Monday warned of strict motion if steps are not taken to finish the guide scavenging survey.

I have requested the officers to appear beyond govt places of work and seek in locations such as bus stands, inns and personal corporations to identify guide scavengers,” Hiremani said.


The authentic also ordered the district management to factor the state govt reimbursement of Rs3 lakh for the youngsters of the civic conservancy workers R Gowrishankar, 21, of Nambiazhaganpalayam, M Ezhumalai, 23, of Rathinapuri and P Suryakumar, 23, of Gounder Mills - who died of asphyxiation in a gold smithery in Coimbatore on December 22.
