GUWAHATI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution grievance against at least 8 persons, including the ex-chief government member of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council Depolal Hojai, for alleged misappropriation of Rs 9.48 crore finances launched by means of the National Highway Authority of India for more than a few works related to four-laning of the NH-54 throughout 2006-2010.
The ED, in its grievance, stated Hojai, in connivance with the others including buyers and fake corporations, had siphoned off the money illegally throughout his tenure. The ED registered a case in keeping with the chargesheet filed by means of the CBI, which had probed the corruption case previous. The ED has been investigating the money path within the case.
