Educational institutions told to register for national scholarship

COIMBATORE: The district management on Saturday called for faculties and higher educational establishments to enrol themselves below the National Scholarship Scheme so that students from minority religious communities may get scholarships.

In a communication, the district collector stated establishments of upper training, which offer vocational, polytechnic, UG and PG lessons in technical and drugs lessons, also M.Phil and research lessons should register in the web site of the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) – www.aishe.nic.in - below the ministry of human sources building and generate a consumer ID.


The scholarship is given to students belonging to minority communities reminiscent of Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis, according to their college training and monetary standing.

“While some establishments have been facilitating minority students to avail the scholarship, others are not even acutely aware of the scholarship. We are looking to create awareness about it ,” he stated.
