The residents, meanwhile, are finding it hard to fight the recent stipulations prevailing in the town. "The hot weather is beyond our tolerance level. In fact, I haven't seen such heat wave in Ludhiana in the last many years. I have not moved out of my home during the day for the last three days. I try to do my business-related work early morning or during the evening hours," stated Manoj Kumar, a dealer from Civil Lines.

The students also are complaining about the warmth wave. "The heat is intolerable. A person can suffer sun stroke if he goes out unprotected during the day. I prefer to study in my air-conditioned room. I try not to venture out during the day," stated Jaspreet Singh, a student of BRS Nagar.
