Fifteen boys escape from juvenile home

HYDERABAD: Fifteen boys escaped from Saidabad State Juvenile Home on Friday night. A complaint used to be lodged in the local police station about the incident.


Most of the lads were in the age group of 14 to 17 years. At middle of the night, sixteen boys entered the washroom and got rid of the bars of the ventilator. They squeezed through the ventilator and came out of the development. Later, they climbed the compound wall and escaped from the premises.


Officials said that 10 boys are from Rangareddy district, 4 from Hyderabad and one from Mahbubnagar. The boys were inquisitive about quite a lot of offences and three amongst them had escaped from the home up to now. One of the boy used to be stuck whilst he used to be looking to get away.


District Child Protection Officer Mohammed Raheem advised TOIthat the Juvenile Home Superintendent Neelakantam and Director of Juvenile Home Sailaja were suspended following the incident.


In a CCTV pictures the lads were noticed walking in the locality with their bags. “We were intimated via the Juvenile Home government about the incident and we're having a look out for the lads,’’ Saidabad Inspector Ok Sattaiah said. Based at the CCTV pictures police are tying to find the accused.
